The word aptitude is derived from the word Aptos which means ‘fitted for’.
In general, aptitude refers a natural or inherent talent in certain sector to acquire a certain skill in the future through appropriate training.

Aptitude: Product of nature or nurture?
Most of the definition of aptitude more emphasis on the fact that aptitude is something which comes naturally. However, It is often debated whether our aptitude is a product of our nature (which is inborn) or a product of nurture (which can be acquired through practice and training).

- e.g., Indira Gandhi became Iron Lady (India is Indra, Indra is India) from a taboo of Gungi Gudiya.

Conclusion:
In reality, aptitude is the outcome of both. The interaction between nature and nurture is crucial. Imagine a seed with the potential to grow into a beautiful flower. The seed holds the potential (nature), but it needs the right environment (nurture) like sunlight, water, fertile soil, to flourish.
Similarly, an aptitude can lie dormant without the proper nurturing experiences. So, everything a person has; he gets it either from nature or nurture.

Aptitude realization refers to the process of recognizing and harnessing one’s natural abilities or talents to achieve personal and professional success.
Many people are there who remain trapped in wrong professions throughout their life. In India, the occupation of a person is often decided by his family without taking aptitude into account.

However, attitude often takes precedence over aptitude because the attitude can be enhanced easily and molded accordingly but aptitude is difficult to change one deeply ingrained.
